I know this is way overdue but, I’ve added the functionality to customize your Friendz List and Recent Visitors widget.
You can now remove names, change image size, have multiple profiles per row and change the width of the widgets.
The lucky winner of the Nintendo Wii is Miriam Parkinson.
Congrats Miriam I ‘m sure your family will have lots fun 🙂
While I have your attention I’d also like to mention a new site I’ve been working on.
Its separate from Whooiz.com and is called Blogarate. You can see it at www.blogarate.com
What is it?
Blogarate.com is a free service that let’s readers of your blog rate your blog posts and displays the last 5 readers to rate your post. The widget also sends that information via the magic of Ajax to blogarate.com for processing. The data collected includes blog post Url, title, author, tags and the rating. We process the data and display it for users to find related blog posts and news items.
Have you build plug-ins for wordpress before?

I’ve just released the latest version of Whooiz.com and there are is quite a few changing.
For a start Whooiz.com now has community based groups.
So whether you are a podcaster or blogger there is a community for you to join that will help you get more readers.
These communities will be a great way for you to promote your blogs and podcasts so go add yours.
My hope is that these communities will become the place on the internet for people to find blogs or podcasts about a given
There are plans a foot to provide Top 10 and Top 100 lists for communities but there needs to be blogs and podcasts in them first 😉
Also with the release of the communities is another widget that will allow your readers or listeners to vote for your site. Visitors can vote for your blog or podcast from both whooiz.com and via the widget that you place of your site.
We will use this data as part of the Top10 and Top100 lists algorithm so make sure you add the widget to your site.
Have a nice day
Just a quit update to announce the release of our Ajax Recent Readers and Friends List widgets.
You can see a working example here
To get the code for the new Ajax widgets just login whooiz.com and go to the account details section and then to the widgetz page. Then just replace your existing widget be it the recent readers or friends list with the new Ajax code.
If you have any problems or questions email me 🙂
There have been a number of changes to the site over the past couple of days.
You can now manage up to 4 different URL’s and I have renamed them to Site1, 2, 3 and 4 to make them more generic.
I hope this makes things a little easy on people blogging at more than one site.
I have also released Blogroll & Podcastroll widgets.
They are dynamic in nature, meaning if you add or delete an item from your blog or Podcast roll this will immediately show up where ever you have the widget installed 🙂 neat hah!
Get your “Blogs I Read” or “Podcasts I listen to” widget by logging into wHooiz.com, then go to the Account Details page.
From there you will notice new links…go play 😉
Feedback welcomed 🙂
Just add a comment at the bottom of the page. Something like…
I would like the nominate www.whooiz.com for the Widget category
I was asked by a user to allow some fields to be set to private.
Meaning that only your friendz who are logged in can see certain details of your profile.
The changes have been made and the following feilds are now set to private by default.
Date Of Birth
If you want the general public to see these details, go to the Edit Profile page and change the privacy setting to false.
Justed added! Invite a friend or Colleague.
You can now invite a friend or colleague and create their wHooiz profile for them.
An invite will be emailed to your friend at which time they will have the option to accept or decline the invitation.
You need to be signed in to invite a friend. So, if you do have someone that you were thinking about telling them about wHooiz.com or someone you’d like to see have a wHooiz.com profile why not do it with an invitation.
